Android Tablet Battery Stuck at 100%
My battery indicator is stuck at 100%--AGAIN The last time I let it run down completely and charged and it reset Its been good for 3-4 months , now it wont reset Short of doing a factory rest is there anything else I can try? If I do a factory reset what do I lose? What should I backup?
THANKS!

As an interested observer, I chased a few threads I found on the net.
It seems to be a firmware problem. Do you have the latest and greatest updates installed on your device?
Let's see what JR comes up with.

Yep, looks like a firmware level problem and no rush to fix it.
Have you thought of using an app like this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...tteryIndicator
There seems to be a few similar apps in the play store

Forgot-if I turn it off and then plug in the charger and restart and then open battery doctor,it gives me the correct level and shows it charging As soon as I disconnect it it goes right back to 100%

I read quiet a few more threads besides the one in the link I posted.
There seemed to be a common approach to some of them. It appeared to be due to a value being stored in a hardware register which was not being updated or changed. The value was an indication of the charge level of the battery. Exactly how it worked or why it was wrong was not clear.
However, what seemed to work for some was to completely drain the tablet. When the battery was very likely completely drained then do a full reset of the tablet followed by a complete recharge using the AC wall adapter. (Or, it could be the other way round - complete charge then reset.) I guess using the adapter was a part of the fix and not just because it would be faster than, say, using a USB connection (or whatever other option might exist).
I'm offering this additional information because it might be a way to fix the current issue. Depending upon what might be lost when resetting the tablet, it might be just the ticket.

This is a tricky problem. Pain in the ass
Resetting often is a pain too.
Sorry nothing for me to add.

Well, hopefully, the replacement doesn't have the same problem.
