It paid high because the outside post winning % is too low.

I have no problem with the 8 paying $63 to win. It was an amatuer Billings trot and the 8 would draw little money in a 6000 pool.

The 8-1 Exacta is the price that galls me. It calculates to about $50 played on the 8-1 Ex compared to the other longshot probable ($12 on 2-1) to pay $381

I think price disparities like this should be investigated.
