From the stuff I listened to, it sounded like the thing Mott was pleased about regarding the blinkers was not so much the manner in which he ran the Travers, but instead the focus he had throughout, with the biggest difference being pre-race. Tacitus was very distracted as they got ready for the Dwyer.
It will be interesting to see what effect his JCGC performance has on his headgear options next out.
