Yeah, I mean Belarus is about to jump into the war...which would be termed an escalation.

That's exactly what I was hoping for. A broader war.

Anyway, I'm not sure if you've been actually watching, but the US hasn't actually been a leader during this crisis.

Our "deterrent" pre-invasion failed...Russia invaded anyway. Big win there.

And the longer this goes, the worse it's going to get for Ukraine, unless the US/NATO is prepared to send in direct military help.

The neocon wet dream. Why am I not surprised?

With Trump out, war is back, baby! Called it perfectly.

I very much believe he was.

"Obsolete" was the word he used.

Yes... the big bad Belarus... led by a guy so hated by his people Russia had to occupy to keep him in power... I'm sure they'll love the economic devastation too...

I know this hurts but;

Everything we've done so far has been fine. The United States hasn't really made any missteps so far.

It pisses you off to no end that Biden is doing a good job and winning here but if it makes you feel any better... it was a really easy hand to win.

Putin is a moron...

You keep repeating the bait. How many times do you think you can do it?

I'll just keep replying with this:

That's not what neoconservatism is.

I'll edit this... the term has changed a lot from the 60s... what do you think it means?

It's exactly what it is.

Neoconservatism right now is a specific school of thought in foreign policy, especially among Republicans, more located on the right side of the spectrum than on the left, and a movement that advocates a forceful and active stance for America in the world. Basically, the underlying idea is that America should be active and interventionist, shaping world order because if it refrains from doing so, then world order will be shaped by other powers, other nations, in ways that might be inimical to the interests and ideals of the United States.

And that definition is from 12 years ago. But it fits so well into what you wrote.

Large Russian convey moving toward Kyiv...this is fine...

https://www.axios.com/satellite-imag...3102643ba.html

Quote:
Maxar satellite imagery showed a 3.25-mile long convoy of Russian ground forces 40 miles northeast of Kyiv moving toward the capital city on Sunday.

Why it matters: According to Maxar, the convoy contains hundreds of armored vehicles including tanks and self-propelled artillery, fuel and logistics. U.S. and Ukrainian officials believe Russia's primary military objective is to encircle Kyiv and topple the government.
