I think I went 6-2 the last couple of days, so now I'm 22-9 with a side or total play in each game. Here's what I like today:

Ole Miss +4.5 over Penn State
Maryland +6.5 over Auburn
Georgia -20.5 over Florida State
Toledo/Wyoming OVER 44.5

Good luck everybody!

Went 3-1 ATS and 2-2 O/U yesterday but lost $50 on the day. Overall now stand at 18-13-1 ATS and 12-20 O/U for a positive $725.

PEACH

Mississippi +4.5 over Penn St. for $50
Over 50.5 for $50

MUSIC CITY

Auburn -6.5 over Maryland for $50
Under 47.5 for $50

ARIZONA

Wyoming -3.5 over Toledo for $50
Over 44.5 for $50

ORANGE

Georgia -14 over Florida St. for $1000
Under 44.5 for $1000

Last year at the start I put a thousand on Alabama and LSU banking on certain opt outs. In Alabama that Young and Anderson would play and they did. In the LSU-Purdue game there would be massive opt outs for Purdue and there were. Alabama and LSU won easily. The LSU game moved 10 points from the opening line. Had the opt outs not occurred as planned I would have bet the other side and taken the push.

I bet Georgia when the line first came out. I knew Florida St. was going to get hard by opt outs and the line would balloon and it has to Georgia -20.5. I also think the Seminoles have no desire to play this game.

Florida St. could only score 16 on a porous Louisville defense and from that game the Seminoles are missing their best running back, two star wide receivers and their best tight end. Their QB only threw for 55 yards with his best players around him. For the life of me I don't see how Florida St. scores a single point unless it is in garbage time with the game well out of reach. I don't see Georgia putting up 45 by themselves. I see the final score being in the 24 to 28 to nothing range.

What scares me is my bet looks to easy, like there is no way I could lose both so the worst is a push. I give a 80% chance of winning both and a 19% chance of splitting, and only a 1% chance of getting wiped out. I thought I would be up at least a grand going into today but I came up short, no worries, it isn't like I haven't won or lost 2000 or more on a bet, either horse racing or sports before, I have done it several times in my life.

This game looks like a horse race where you have a 1-9 shot running against four hopelessly overmatched rivals.

An hour before kickoff I checked the lines and Georgia went from a 20.5 favorite to a 23.5 point favorite and the O/U went from 44.5 to 47.5. I was expecting the total to drop to 42.5. Once I saw the huge line shift I was 100% certain Georgia was scoring at least 50 and most likely in the 60s. The final was 63-3. I will leave it at that!

Oops. Forgot to post my picks for today. Not looking so good on at least one of them, but here's what I came up with last night:

LSU -8.5 over Wisconsin
Tenn -5.5 over Iowa
Liberty/Oregon OVER 67.5
Michigan -1.5 over Bama
Washington +4.5 over Texas

These games were tough for me to figure out. Looking forward to the nightcap, as that QB from Washington is fun to watch. Pretty fearless, and every play he's looking 30-40 yards downfield. Sort of a left-handed version of Dan Fouts.

Good luck everybody!

Washington plus points is hard to pass on. (I'm a Longhorn through and through). The only way we get to the qb is via blitz or setting the DEs wide off the edge. I think uw handles it.

Our DTs Sweat and Murphy are top notch, well coached, but they stuff the run. Quick passes early will wear them out. Strong vs the run but not great pass rushers. Texas depends on blitzes to pressure for 60 minutes and our secondary is very thin.

Not saying it's a slam dunk but uw matches up well tonight

Hook em

the Washington Huskies are in the final largely thanks to Michael Penix who threw for 430 yards as they beat Texas

there are lots of jokes about his name - including a tee shirt -

Washington has to be one of the most underrated teams in recent memory.

They have been underdogs in 3 of their last 4 games, and are underdogs against Michigan for all the marbles.

I'm still befuddled as to how they were 10 point underdogs in the Pac12 Championship game against Oregon.

I think Michigan matches up very well against them, but the 'experts' have been saying that for the last half of the season wagering against UW.

An interesting fact I learned today, is that Washington is the first team in college football history to have 10 straight games all decided by 10 points or less, and to have won them all. May have to take the Money Line on the Huskies against Michigan.

Brutal finish to the bowl season! I finished 21-19-1 ATS and 16-25 O/U for a whopping $25 profit!

I am picking Washington in the championship +4.5.

do yourself a favor, don't bother laying the money line on this mismatch. Michigan will masacre this team and the points are not gonna mean a thing. Washington has not faced a team close to this that has such an interior strength in both the offensive and defensive lines. the quarterback for Alabama was on the ground last night plenty, the guy for Washington will be on the ground even more than him.

you got to love it, Michigan gets less respect than Rodney Dangerfield had his entire life.
