Is San Anita past its issues
As of last Friday, 6,635 horses had worked out on the main and training tracks, receiving official times, with no fatalities. The tally grew with another 142 on Saturday, 196 on Sunday and so on to open the new week.

Amazing what happens when the nations driest climate for horse racing doesn't have a wet track more than 1 day in a row.

There is thought no more sealing the track when it rains and cancelling that days card.

Still have local Deep Investigative Reporters working on exposing the Real Reasons behind the deaths. Heard it might be the Peppermints are the root cause.

The sun comes out and not a single breakdown in 6 weeks. Anyone with half a brain knew that something was up with the rain + the surface. Everything else was rubbish.

Fatal breakdowns at both Pimlico amd SA...and the NYT is right there with the story:
BALTIMORE — Two horses died at racetracks owned by the Stronach Group on Friday, keeping the issue of animal cruelty in horse racing in the public eye on the eve of one of the biggest days in horse racing.

Go back to Trump bashing and leave our sport alone.

Wasn't Congrats Gal (?) a heart attack?
That was the last I heard, unless it changed overnight.
NBC dwelling on the fallen horse was totally unacceptable, INHO.
Just shows what low class idiots they are.
I sent a strongly worded complaint to them - suggest more do the same.
They are disgusting little people there.

I thought Santa Anita would have been treated a bit better but all this proves is that every single one will be declared by the NYT.....sucks to know this is the reality going forward. Usually mainstream media moves on to another story quickly.

NBC's JOB is to cover deaths at races they cover.
If tracks don't like it they don't have to take the money. But NBC isn't going to refuse to do journalism because some folks in the industry don't want to admit to the public that horses die
