NJ senator Whelan "doesn't want to listen"

I'm no expert on politics, but aren't politicians supposed to help their citizens and not themselves?

Whelan not listening and sending letters to the active governor reeks of a guy just trying to cater to whoever sticks more money in his pocket.

Is this what we want from our politicians?

NJ racing is out of business without slots, gonna be thousands of hard working NJ citizens out of work. But, guess what? Senator Whelan doesn't care.

I know nothing about Sen Whelan. I do know about the pro-slot crowd. There is no shortage of money to had for any politican that is pro-slots.

Maybe we should start up a fund to buy some politicians that favor horse racing. How much does a Senator cost these days ?
