He doesn't understand that a lot of car parts used in American factories are made in Mexico. Closing the border would shut down a large number of American car makers.

There is no court that is non-political. To think otherwise is naive.
But I do hope RBG is swayed by Robert's latest fiasco; then Trump could replace here with a conservative justice.

no we'll just use military cargo planes to haul those parts up. Pilots need to log hours to stay current might as well use it for something meaningful instead of just punching holes in the sky for no reason

Great idea. And on their way back south, they can take the stuff that we export to Mexico, like beef, pork, eggs, and soy beans. (Do those planes have refrigeration?) And Mexico is a large market for American machinery and electronics. That will keep those fly boys in top form.

Sadly its quite clear the only way some would change their view on border security and/or a border fence is if they lost a loved one to an illegal alien. Otherwise its economics and/or politics.

I know of no one here opposed to border security. I and some others believe that The Donald's Wall is not an effective method for border security, and that money could be spent more wisely. Trump has given no indication of even considering other approaches, and his fans here just accept that he knows best.
