With 3 scratches in that race and it going off at 5-1 I bet it to win. Took a shot betting against the 3/5 favorite.

Came in second.

I wish we could have gotten the win but he paid $8 across the board which isn't too shabby!!!

Did you play across the board or just win?

TheOracle,

After studying my betting patterns and ROI over the years on different types of bets (W, WP, WPS, extotics) , I have found for me, win only betting gets the job done.

Only time I may do WP is in a sprint race with a high odds horse. A lot of times my selection (based on my handicapping methodology), gets second in those types of races.

My method seems to do better in route races, win wise.
