I saw that race. I don't know what smart money knew when there was $141,000 bet to win on the and an average of 8 or 9K on each of the others. Horses pull up.

Kernel's right that the trifecta should have paid more than $104.00. The trifecta in the San Diego last year when Arrogate ran out paid $216, by comparison.

I understand your point but the payouts are strange to say the least.

They knew the horse would break its leg? Man, I am all for a conspiracy but this is a bridge too far.

i have a friend that claims to see trifecta pools, he swears on
the largest stack of bibles that the trifecta payoff for this race fell $400 while the horse was getting his picture taken in the winner's circle.
anything is possible i guess.

Sorry, but this is par for the course.
The fave was .05 on the buck. Have no idea who bets those, but there you have it.
You are never going to get payoffs that look right on the other horses.
Never.
Pools were quite small too. Except for the fools who bet almost quarter million to show.
Crazy stuff.

I wouldn't trust anyone who would swear on the Bible.

Probably but if they were there (trifecta pools) it was because they were smart and not because something illicit was going on. The thread title made me think of evil doings at SA. I don't think that was the case.

the pay-offs do not seem low for a 6 horse race and all cashers had between 5/1 and 8/1 ML
it was not like a 12 or 20 horse field.

Did this friend take screenshots or have some sort of tangible proof?
