I get the explanation of covid, even though I disagree. I think Covid was so new that A LOT of people were scrambling to even understand it. Trump was listening to many people (as you insinuated above that the president doesn't run anything). He had to make decisions based on many varying inputs. I don't think he handled it perfectly either. Course, I don't think many could of given those circumstances.

There are plenty of people with blister sisters with kids sired by different fathers who are a polarizing factor in the body politic. That will always be a strong motivator in left and right mindset, destroying the family unit has always worked for the left insofar and with the decay of values and catering to less than wholesome lifestyles. Covid-19 for the most part got managed by the States because States rights showed a different picture from state to state. The Federal response was streamline vaccine production giving Big Pharma immunity from legal recourse. The real picture is under reported because people hurt by the vaccine were downplayed at the same time the States overstepped and also hurt people, kids, and the economy in the name of good.

The last thing the democrats want to do in this hearing is talk about Biden. Anything but Biden. I keep wondering how much we are paying all the people in that hearing to just give political speeches. The least intelligentpeople in that room are the ones sitting on an elevated platform.
