Improbable $50 to $6000

Game Winner $25 to $3000

Tacitus $10 to $2000
Haikal $10 to $1100
When your holding those types of futures bets do you just make your derby day bets playing tickets shooting for a wonky finish and a life changing super?

nice! Are those vegas odds? The future payouts werent that high-were they? If Omaha draws the aux gate he will win. I like all your plays
Didnt see your earlier post about off shore. I read some stories about offshore sites not paying up

I don't think Omaha wins the Rebel or Ark without Smith. I don't think Roadster wins the SA without Smith. All three rides were pure brilliance. Which ever colt he get off immediately gets downgraded in my assessment.
Right now I like Omaha, Game Winner, Improbable, Maximum Security, and Roadster on top. Most on the fence with Improbable and Roadster. Need to narrow my scope to three plays on top to keep the trifecta a reasonable price to play. Smith's decision and possibly the post draw should narrow my selections.

I mentioned this is another thread 30 seconds ago but the thing that is scary good for Omaha Beach is as impressive his Arkansas Derby was he really wasnt pressed that hard until the final 1/8th, while Improbable was asked to go around the turn, Mike Smith was just sitting on Omaha knowing he had a monster underneath him.
Post position and stuff like that aside at this point I really think Omaha Beach is my pick to win the derby.

Interesting he ran slower on the wet-fast . . .
23.08; 47.50; 72.46; 97.53; - Omaha Beach, Arkansas, Equibase
23.64; 47.29; 71.82; 96.39; - Omaha Beach, Rebel, Equibase

In the small sample size we have available, it well appears that Omaha Beach possesses excellent cruising speed and has shown that he doesn't necessarily have to have the front end. That move he made on the slop, if he can duplicate it on the good going which there is no indication or reason to believe that he cannot can often snatch the will to continue with any measure of legitimate eagerness from the most valid of opponents or threats in the race. He really seems to be flourishing and coming into his own at the right time. If the race were today he would most definitely be my Top Pick...

Visually, it was the best prep performance this year. Omaha's last three are pretty even on Equibase: 109. 110, 109. What you see it likely what you'll get regardless of rider, however it is Smith who knows how to time a long race better than just about anyone. He will be on my tickets, more aggressively if Smith stays up.

Roadster is the more agile horse and with a 20 horse field athleticism comes into play.

He looks like a small colt to me. That could also be a negative in a crowded field prone to a little bumping.

That's how I read it, Fager Fan.
My answer to which one 'should' Mikey choose = "OMAHA! No-brainer. Obvious, conservative, wise choice."
My answer to who is better in the Derby = "I don't know.".
I voted 'Omaha' in attempt to answer the jockey choice, but it has nothing to do with my (what would be a 'guess') opinion of either horse.
Very similar to the "Why does Irad choose Bourbon War over Maximum Security?" question prior to the Fla. Derby. He chooses Bourbon War and it's obvious, wise strategy.

not sure about that. even if he is, i think Omaha Beach has better tactical speed which is more valuable in the derby.
