NFL SPOT PLAYS

Sunday, November 11

Best 3-team 10 point Teaser: COWBOYS +9...LIONS +7...FALCONS +9.

Lions at Vikings, Pandy's Pick: Lions -3***: The Lions have turned around their season since the bye, going 3 and 1 and the only loss was a gritty effort against the 7-1 Chicago Bears. The Vikings beat the Lions 20-13 earlier this year but have since gone backwards. In this game, the Vikings go without their best playmaker Percy Havin, who ran a kickoff back for a TD when these two teams met earlier in the season. The Vikings defense has been awful in last two starts as they gave up 66 points to two teams that are not known for their offense. On offense, the Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder has thrown 7 interceptions in his last 4 games and today is without the league's top receiver. Ponder will hand off to Adrian Peterson but it's hard to win without a passing attack.

Giants at Bengals, Pandy's Pick: Giants -4.5. The Bengals have flopped this year after a solid season last year and they are struggling to protect quarterback Andy Dalton. The Giants secondary is giving up yards but they can also come up with turnovers. The Giants have always played well on the road during the Coughlin years.

Jets at Seahawks, Pandy's Pick: Seattle -5.5. The Jets have had a week off to prepare and they will most likely play good defense here. The Jets problem is their weak offense which has struggled to score. Seattle has a good defense with quick linebackers and they play much better at home. This should be a low scoring game but unless Tim Tebow comes in and sparks the Jets, they may have trouble scoring enough points.

Cowboys at Eagles, Pandy's Pick: Cowboys -1. After winning 3 of their first 4 starts in close games, the Eagles have lost 4 straight and have not been able to protect QB Michael Vick, who got crushed by the low-ranked Saints Defense last week. the Eagles have key injuries on their offensive line. The Cowboys have a good pass rush. Since the bye the Cowboys have lost 3 of 4 starts but in their three losses they played competitively but lost due to mistakes and turnovers. The Cowboys are healthier and more talented than the Eagles right now. If Romo doesn't give the game away they should win and cover.

i think ESPN still has insisted on ranking Atlanta #1 in the power ranking going into today.

sometimes i don't know if that ranking is for the most powerful/best team, or if it's like an award for the best record early in the season... Just because a team has a great record doesn't mean it has to be a top 5 team.

8 - 6 through Week 5
0 - 3 Week 6
1 - 0 Week 9 Best Bet

9 - 9 season-to-date

I loved the Bears last week and it was an easy cover. I hate them this week which is why the Texans are my Best Bet @+1.5. I don't think that they stop Foster, and when they get behind they will not stop Watt. Houston wins this outright so if you only get +1 so be it.

Good luck all.

They'll have to play better than they did at home against Bills or they'll get stomped.
