Le Tour 2021
Le Tour de France, the greatest race in the world, has begun once again.
I have no predictions and I’m not rooting for anyone in particular. I’m here to enjoy the scenery and marvel at how these guys actually endure this three week hell.
The Tour has taught me one important lesson:
NEVER STOP PEDALING
Vive le Tour!

Alaphilippe throws down the gauntlet in Stage 1 !
Maybe this is the year a Frenchman rides the Champs-Elysees in yellow

There should be a red flag in the Tour just like there is in auto racing.

Defending champ Tadej Pogacar just blew this race wide open in a dominating performance in the Alps today.
Put big time time on all other GC contenders, and may well have won the race.
Thomas and Roglic are out of it, Carapaz is hanging around, not sure where Alaphilippe is, as well as a few others.
Amazing day in the mountains.

Another great performance from Mark Cavendish, surely the best road sprinter of all time. Now on an amazing 33 TDF stage wins, just one behind the record set by Eddy Merckx.

Cavendish is likely to get eliminated from the Tour today. He barely made the time limit on a mountain stage last week (by about 90 seconds) and this stage is the toughest of the Tour….he’s already dropped off the back with around 100 miles to go

Looks like he will make it comfortably and with a sprint likely on Thursday he has every chance of equaling the record. There is also a small possibility that Friday's stage could end with a sprint.

He may have tied the record (and will likely break it) but he's no Eddie Merckx
