Best ever, no doubt...However, there is a modern day version of Brooks by the name of Nolan Arenado, who is the only infielder to win the Gold Glove in each of his first eight MLB seasons, from 2013 to present, all at 3rd base for the Rockies. He was traded to the Cardinals prior to the 2021 season.

Totally agree with you about Arenado. He is an incredible player who should be in the HOF after he retires. The numbers are still pretty decent despite moving away from Coors and the glove is still the best. 8 more to go. Let's hope he can stay healthy!

Like I said...the Reds relief pitching is a joke.

I was a Reds fan as a kid and my first favorite player was Ted Kluszewski. An intimidating figure for sure. He was on the first expansion Angel team. Albie Pearson, about 5 foot 5, was his roommate. Big Klu once told Pearson that if he gave him any shit he was going to push the beds together, sleep on both of them and put Pearson in a dresser drawer.

The Reds have a shot at the wild card. Last time I looked they were 4 games behind San Diego.

BUMP

2yrs later and look out...11 game winning streak and they find themselves somewhere I don't think they've been in ages: 1st place

Where did this come from?

Go 'head Reds !

MLB won't let me watch either the Reds or the Braves. They determined that I am in their blackout area. Still get to see my Rangers though.

During 11 game win streak, impersonated the Rangers at 6 runs scored per game. Votto is back and may have difficulty fitting everybody in.

Starters will drag them back to roughly .444 win pct. before streak. Greene to IL for how long?, though they get Ashcraft back, and Lodolo maybe August.

Next 9 with Braves, Orioles, Padres. I'll agree with Fangraphs and project 78-84. In the thick for 2nd in the second weakest division.

When I was a kid where I lived broadcast all Dodger and Angel road games.
Since one was usually on the road and one home there was baseball on every night. There was like a half dozen channels.

Then ON TV came to the Los Angeles market, the subscription service showed the games that were blacked out on broadcast TV. We could watch Angel games living in the same town they were in.

I was thinking about posting something last night,

I’ve been watching them at night after the games are over on the MLB App. They condense the games down and you can watch either teams broadcast in condensed format. Votto coming back was special and Jake Fraley came back last night.

This Elly De La Cruz is fun to watch!

I hope they can stay in it

Oh my!

Elly de la Cruz hits for the cycle! First time a Red has done it since 89

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...hit-cycle-1972

“He became the youngest player to hit for the cycle since Houston's César Cedeño in 1972, according to ESPN Stats & Information. De La Cruz is also the third player since 1901 to hit for the cycle within his first 15 career games.”
