I am sure it did. My son in law makes his living out of Bristol Bay. Last season was terrible. That area is getting hit hard enough already> Bering sea getting slowly destroyed. Lets just they keep a lid on this mine opening. It will be up to Biden to keep closed. The same with ANWR. Keep it closed.

The Bureau of Land Management started a comment period about 10 days ago that will allow energy companies to bid on drilling rights in ANWR. If the timing works out, the rights will be sold off in the second or third week in January, right before the inauguration. Biden opposes drilling in ANWR. With oil at $45, I doubt it's that attractive, if at all, to drill in ANWR, but it will open up that possibility.

Here are some quotes on the move:

"It's been quite a lot of work to get to this point," said Kevin Pendergast, Trump's deputy state director for resources with the bureau in Alaska. In a separate statement, the agency said the lease sale will be a historic move "advancing this administration's policy of energy independence."

Chad Padgett, the Bureau of Land Management’s Alaska state director, said in a statement. “This call for nominations brings us one step closer to holding a historic first Coastal Plain lease sale, satisfying the directive of Congress in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and advancing this administration’s policy of energy independence.”

Prudhoe Bay IMO has been pretty successful protecting the environment. I am sure some azzhat will be tearing me up for that statement, and who lives in the Midwest. ANWR is very very delicate. Nature will lose. The migration of the Porcupine Cariboo herds are one of most amazing things to witness. The native's will get 4k over so bad. Bringing in stores, alcohol, drugs and boners into there villages.
