Richard Migliore Interview link below

Sorry if this has been posted previously........JK

https://thoroughbredpeople.com/blog/...hard-migliore/

I have a lot of respect for Richard Migliore, and after watching him today on America's Day at the Races, I googled his name. This interview from 2019 was the result. Its got the usual biographic info, but it is his concept of integrating horse retirement into a program of training for future race-trackers and future bettors which really struck me as fairly brilliant. He has obviously given the idea a lot of thought and made good use of his vast and varied experience.

I can't imagine the current factions running the sport acting on his idea in any meaningful and effective way, but it is still a great concept.

Mig

one of my all time favorite Jockeys, and now, at this point, he is now my favorite racing commentator.

The last race today is a classic example as he discussed Mike Luzzi, and
his turbulent career with injuries. Importantly, Mig adds an important dimension to the game highlighting not only the physical condition of the thoroughbred but also zeroes in on the troubled trips, which, at certain points
results from jockey error.

In short, he calls it like it is, or, as when I grew up in Brooklyn(as well), it is
what it is...
