Will Smith goes nuts on Chris Rock at Oscars...that escalated quickly
The fun starts at the 30 second mark of the video
Looked like a hard open handed slap? Sounded like a punch...but it wasn't a punch...if that was a punch, Rock likely would have went down or at least buckled a bit...

Might be the only clip I watch from year's Oscars. Normally only see clips from this or the Emmys when the host has ripped the celebrity poo-bahs a new a-hole.

That did not seemed stage to me. It could have been. If it was not, Rock had it coming for what he said.

Rock was way out of line, but Will Smith could have handled it better. Violence never solves anything.
I did not know about Jada Pinkett Smith’s condition. I thought she wore her hair that way as a fashion statement. But I’m sure Chris Rock did know.

He was laughing until he saw the look on his wife's face. Or he was still laughing/smiling at the prior joke...
Chris Rock is the greatest actor in the world if that was staged.
