The auto companies were never going to fold. They would have been reorganized in bankruptcy under new private ownership with new private investment. The Republicans did want to save the auto companies, they just didn't want to do it with government money. There were private investors interested at the time, but the Democrats wanted to have the government do it, and to give away a big chunk of the companies to the unions.

The Republicans will have the White House in 2016, provided they nominate a candidate that is worth a damn.
Then we will see how many threads I start that personally disparage the President and First Family...and call him every name in the book...and insult his wife's looks...and etc etc etc.
The answer will be ZERO

Never happen. The Repubs have a 20% or less chance to win
Just my opine. Btw, I think you would be hard pressed to find anybody insulting Obama's family or their looks. I haven't read every thread......but I bet you wouldn't find much of that at all. It's the failed policies .......

If it is deserved, feel free.
I posted a lot of bad stuff about Bush. I think I called for the World Court to arrest him and put him on trial.
Remember this - the POTUS is nothing more than an employee of our, with a detailed job description. We need to treat them like employees, nothing more.
And the family is fair game when they insert themselves into it. No free rides.

You aren't paying attention then...
It took me 30 seconds of using the SEARCH function to find a thread where our President was called a loser and an asshole.
Do a search of the term "Moochelle" and see what comes up.

Romney was better qualified to be president than Obama. Obama was better qualified to campaign. I don't see anyone in the GOP "contenders" right now that is a good campaigner. But neither is Hillary when you really look at her. And if she doesn't run, all bets are off.

The true believers on the left think that disparaging Obama's competence or leadership is disparaging the man. Many of them are those that used to mock Bush for being stupid.
Some here and on other boards go over the line regarding Michelle. Her looks should be off limits. Her wardrobe while appearing in public as the First Lady is a legitimate target for ridicule. I have never seen a single comment here about the kids.

Calling him a loser and an asshole is fair game. Nothing to do with looks. I will take your word for "moochelle" I seem to recall that........but it's nothing that didn't happen to Bush and his kids. I haven't seen anybody go after Obama's kids.
It's not worth arguing over. I feel sorry for those who have to defend him. They got hoodwinked. Plain and simple. But they were warned.......
