When everyone claims contamination how do we separate the real contaminations from the fake ones?

This frustrates me to no end. Put me in charge of drug testing and weeding out the cheats. No one could convince me that this is that hard to do. It just takes the determination to do.

I highly doubt we will ever be privy to a racing commissions reason for their ruling based on what type of "mitigating circumstances" I'm sure there was some sort of deal cut and a stern warning to never do this again. How do you have any "mitigating circumstances" for morphine? That one is beyond comprehension.

$2,500 as an investment to win a million dollar BC race.
Good business strategy.

NYRA still letting him run there?
This one ruling alone should keep him off all tracks forever.

Let's not forget his betting profits along the way

While not as large, I'm sure it's a very nice supplemental income. Maybe even better than Dutrow's

We've always wondered why the "honest" horsemen don't take a more proactive stance against the known backstretch "cheaters" in this game...and now we get a hint of why that might be. It's quite possible that there might not be any "honest" horsemen left. As the saying goes: "If you can't beat them...then you join them". Because today's racino money is too good to pass up.

That's part of it. The other is that then you'll have to start worrying about what others may do to your horses.

I'd love to hear the "mitigating circumstances" that somehow innocently have your horse show up with morphine and cocaine in its system.

It's a good thing $2,500 isn't a slap on poor Jorge's wrist.
