Kentucky Downs Turf Festival (Saturday)
R1: ALANDTOM is in good form, won big here and has won 3 for 4 turf claiming races. FAITHOPE ran a big figure without blinkers last time and was in the money here in his two races over this special track.
NP & 1st ($7.60)

R2: APACHE PARK has a bright pedigree (mother graded stakes placed on dirt out of a good European turf sprinter -sixter of grade 1 winner on turf and dirt Deffensive Play), and his last workout is well above average for William Mott pupils. Maybe wins by raw class.
NP
went to the Downs for touristic and educational reasons...

R3: Bet down, MONGOL BOSS should be in the exacta with a positive stretch out (5 > 6,5f). TAP THE ADMIRAL, very nice turf pedigree top and bottom, and SWEET PLATINUM, ready for his first time turf (20% win trainer) and cut back (26% win) complete the exacta shortlist.

R4: by a El Prado stallion out of a Machiavellian mare (turf x turf) DEVIOUS D'ORO ran a fine race first time turf (closed 12 lengths) and can go one better today. VINTAGE STRIKE ran big first time routing on the green. SANDSARITA drops from a tough stakes and is exacta shortlist.
4th - 2nd ($9.00 ) - NP
the $60 winner was so ugly on paper...

R4: PERSONAL DIARY by top turf stallion City Zip closed from the clouds (16 lengths) in her debut. This is a stiff 7f and the cut back from the mile seems ideal. Similar profile shows the favorite LIEN ON KITTEN.
win & win & exacta box
3rd & 1st ($5.80)

R6: HERE'S JOHNNY is bred for the stretch out and proven against much tougher company in France. SWEET DADDY, by good turf stallion Scat Daddy, can close for second.
2nd & 3rd
No way!

R7: ANCIL, with theese big last two Beyers on turf (96 > 102) looks like an unexposed horse over the green. XBALANQUE is an improver and he's got a good pedigree for turf, can upset first time on the green. REGALLY READY shows a fast 5f bullet (59.2B) may wake up today.

R8: DEPECHE CHAT won this race last year after a similar layoff. The 47.3 near bullet indicates he's coming back in top form. UTLEY always fires his best shot after a layoff (1st > 1st > 1st). TREND last 3 Beyers on firm turf (90 > 92 > 90) puts him right in the money.
2nd & 3rd
the same music the whole afternoon
two bullets left and I need a killing...

R10: SUNTRACER is the stayer in good form with the best figures. By a 12f turf stallion out of a mare by a 12f turf and dirt stallion, outsider POTOMAC RIVER is in top form and can upset the exacta first time marathon. SIDE ROAD is the other stayer.
