I actually hope Baffert wins.
And I'm no huge fan of Baffert.
People are given wide latitude when making comments about "celebrities" or people very much in the public eye. It's tough to win a defamation lawsuit when you're as famous as Baffert.
However, the extortion thing I think might have legs.

For those who've already seen Swift's Twitter feed, there probably isn't much new.
It's all fun and games to engage in the equivalent of live action role play on Twitter - until you get sued by a very wealthy and litigious trainer.
