Visit worst favorite

This might be the worst favorite I've ever seen today at Santa Anita.

I prebet the Grade 1 and was shocked to see Visit, first time dirt, at 3-2! My pick, Country Star, was scratched at the gate when she flipped.

Visit runs up the track. I never even looked at the 13-1 shot winner Santa Terista.

How could this horse be 3-2 in a Grade I first time dirt? Maybe the DRF story where Frankel compared her to Ventura

Dirt?

The SA Pro-Ride surface has been called a lot of nasty things, but "dirt" is a new one on me.

He had trained well over the surface and Frankel has been successful with this transition, ala Ventura.

3/2? I agree she was a stone cold false favorite.

I didn't even put her in my trifecta.

Pro Ride is not dirt,it's a lot more like turf.

They run slow early and fast late like turf but the surfaces aren't interchangealbe for sure. 3/2 was ridiculous for a horse that hadn't raced on AW, it wasn't as if her figures towered over the rest of the field.

Frankel is just another trainer (overbet to boot) on the AW tracks in Socal, his stats are mundane at best.
