If his last race was a convincing win by open lengths, THEN I would have expected to see him at the Alwc. Nw2x level. Also, that condition might not be in the book before the meet ends next week, so they opted for this spot instead. Still, he has three wins and a second off the claim and regression might be in the cards today. I would be looking to try and beat him today, especially as the post time favorite. Just my $.02.

I agree. He looks best on paper but may have been dying at the wire in last. I am singling Pat Daddy to start the pick 4

The meet is coming to an end, and at this point there is no real clue when and where the horses at OP will be able to race again. I'd guess a big barn like Asmussen's is taking a calculated risk. The can win the purse and if claimed, they have don't to take care of the horse for however long it is until he can be raced again. If not claimed, they stole a purse (if winning).

I don't see a lot of value in the race. The would be my selection here. Possibly a small flyer on the , but not sure yet.

Thanks. I didn't bet the horse, but it saved me from betting against a favorite many thought was vulnerable.

i think the horse stayed with Assmussen. not sure it was them that got the horse back, but am pretty sure there was a protection claim in on that horse.
Brewster got tons of horses and maybe nowhere to run them now.

Just curious--how did you know it was a 3-way shake? I never see that kind of info anywhere.

Usually after the race when they announce the claim. They will say something like it was a 3-4 or 5 way shake.

Yes, as the last response surmised, Vic announced it after the race.

Why would you think that? Chart says claimed by trainer Greg Compton, owner Greg Compton. If this horse is back with the original connections next time out that stinks and should be investigated.
