Where did you get this information? It sounds funky from two perspectives. One, Do you have it reversed? Are you sure you don't have that reversed and it's Kavanaugh who has to recuse himself? Are your legal eagles aware of the first Amendment regarding speech?

Two, this is the fourth time the ACLU opposed a SC nominee. I don't remember them ever having to recuse themselves because of opposition to a nominee. It's possible, but I'm sure we would have heard about it each time it happened previously.

I don't know who your legal sparrows are, but I'd be surprised if ANYONE who opposed the appointment of a new justice (including the 2,400 law professors) was subsequently banned from arguing before the court.

The law doesn't always make sense, but this sounds like fake news.

I thought we were talking about the ACLU and Kavanaugh?

And by the way...it's now Justice Kavanaugh.

But the parallel between Kavanaugh-ACLU and the Supreme Court case cited earlier is weak at best. Is the ACLU actively investigating Kavanaugh for criminal activities?
