How do you leave law enforcement to the professionals when professional law enforcement is likely 5-10 minutes from helping you out each and every time?

Many crimes involving guns occur in "gun free" zones. The only ones kept safe are the criminals.

When every second counts, the police are just minutes away!

I'm lucky to live in a neighborhood that has no crime. At all. Not sure how long that will last but this neighborhood for sixty years has had one break in (owner wasn't home). People look out for each other. ...Ten minutes down the road, different story.
This will sound odd.... I'm just not of the opinion I need a weapon. How you handle yourself has a bit to do with it. If you're under control people react to you differently. And I stay away from bad parts of town late at night. Common sense.
If people want to carry, cool. Like my dad used to say "don't pull a weapon unless you're going to use it". Nowadays, too many hot heads. I'll pass.

A guy goes to the trouble to get an illegal gun, but he will not carry it in to a gun free zone?
MAn, we need to throw more money at our schools - too many blithering idiots getting through.
Anyone who thinks a gun-free zone is anything but a joke needs to seek help.
You know the bad guys call a gun-free zone>
Kill Zone.

And those who set them up are known as idiots.
If you were going to do a mass shooting, would you be swayed by a sign that said no one there has any weapons on them, of a sign that said, Concealed Weapons Welcome Here!

I believe the law allows you to post just the opposite, does it not?
