Obama didn't congratulate either of them.

Again though this isn't about Obama its about Trump who is calling to congratulate the leader of a country who launched an attack against American Forces holding a Oil Refinery in Syria... a month ago.

We should not be involved in Syria and it was the west's fault Russia made a move on Crimea. The CIA and west were trying put Ukraine under our sphere of influence. That helped oust the democratically elected leader of Ukraine that was friendly to Russia and brought in someone that was friendly to the west and might even join NATO.

If I was the president of Russia (and I am a pacifist when it comes to military), I would have made a move on Crimea and Ukraine too. It was too strategically important to allow the west to continue to move closer to the Russian border with NATO when part of the deal for breaking up the Soviet Union was that the west would not interfere in the former satellites. Russia understandably wants a buffer between the west and their own border.

Putin is a bad guy, but we are instigating all the problems we have with Russia right now because the neocons are among the worst human beings to ever have influence in this country and the media is complicit with all the lies. We could easily do business with Putin with very little trouble. That's what he wants. Instead we are trying to cut him off so he's trying to team up with China instead. Trump is correct on Russia. Putin sucks,but you can do business with him without much trouble just like we do with the commies in China.
