Who ever plays California Racing now, is a real Idiot!
As you see now, the take out will become 25 % on a stright ticket and 30 % on a exotic bet.
Just think about it, if one played poker and the dealer took out 30% on each round, how long would it take for the house to clean everyone out. 10 minutes or less.
If you played California Racing, I would love too be your bookie, I would be rich in a few minutes.
Good luck and visit a shrink, because you will need it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It won't last long as the exodus of fans will increase enormously.
Didn't these clowns learn a thing from the recent findings of the International Simulcast Symposium?

Unfortunately I don't think that will happen. Lots of mug players out there not comprehending or caring about takeouts.

So what is logically the next thing to happen?
Horsemen will demand a higher cut now that there is so much more revenue?

Many oldtimers, including myself, believe that this is the worst Oak Tree meeting ever.Aside from the plastic track matter,we have had a steep drop in quality with what seems like an abundance of bottom level maiden claimers filled with professional losers.Add to that cards filled with 6,5,and even 4 horse fields that produce a dreary procession of short prices. Now,on top of all this we get the wonderful news that the politicos are going to "fix" things by picking our pockets even more?Nothing like kicking a man when he is down is there boys.Always thought that pileing on was bad sportsmanship.

You are right, it is going down hill, each meet, It's dying and those blind fools can't see a thing, but want more, and more and more

Idiots huh?
They're already paying 26% takeout on some exotics at Saratoga, Belmont, and Aqueduct.
Having idiots on both coasts kinda' balances things out in the middle ... keeps the country from tipping over.

I hope that Jay Hovdey, Gary, Laffit Jr., Todd, Professor Gordo and all the other enablers countrywide, near and far, will continue to clown around and grow teary eyed about the good ol' days while the sport literally disintegrates around them.
No use speaking out now, right fellows?
Party on!

Does this new takeout go into effect immediately? Are they slipping this in to make a big score on the Breeders Cup pool?
