Voting is not a Guaranteed Right

No more mail-in ballots! The only exception is absentee ballots for those in the military and deployed.

If you can't get your weak ass to your designated poling place, tough shit.

This is one of the ways to maintain election honesty.

Yeah, imagine what would happen if we allowed all those people in nursing homes to vote , or all those lame-ass people in the hospital on election day!

It's not the mail vote, it's the stupid handling and counting proceedures that are half-assed.

While the states have controll of the voting, when it is for Federal offices, there should be Federal minimum guidelines that need to be followed.

It is scary to see so much incompeteence coast to coast.

How we have come in 20 years!

As I said, if they cannot get to the polling location than they shouldn't be able to vote, PERIOD

I disagree, but there needs to be a valid vetted reason submitted to get a mail in ballot, and it should be post marked in time to easily be received by election day.

It's actually THE ONLY way! Besides, our votes are supposed be our SECRET, but that goes out the window with mail-ins.

There is a very easy, straightforward, common sense fix for this mess: National Elections should be declared a holiday in which everyone has off. Then no one has any excuse for why they couldn't find the time during voting day to vote, especially if the polls are open from sunup to sunset.

Absolutely not. Incredibly unfair to people with chronic illness who's ability to get around can change from day to day.

Then they get a lifetime authorization for mail in voting with a doctor's letter.
The mail in voting is becoming an issue, even just if for getting results in at a timely manner. A lot of people are mailing in votes out of laziness and most seem to be democrats.

I think mail in is great. We need to get more people voting. What we need is specific proceedures enforced AHEAD of the election.
It can be done.

Votes should be counted timely.
No reason they can't be counted starting Monday before the election, and reporting the results by noon Monday the day before, so there are no "surprises" after live voting.

Of course most of the votes are Democrats. Not that I think Democrats actually like voters but at least they aren't so disdainful that they don't want to have to be around them. Is Scott Presslet the only guy who actually wants to talk to people? Go knock on doors and get votes.

Why, care to explain, inquiring minds want to know?

“The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.”

They have the right to vote by getting to the polling place.

They have the right to vote by getting to the polling place.

Except it doesn't say that.
Mandating people who are incapcitated to physically travel to a polling place certainly abridges their rights.

Because Democrats have always had a ground game to get votes. And in the last few years they haven't told their supporters that it's a corrupt way to vote and to avoid it.
