NYRA has never been known to be run by the brightest bulbs. Sources say that entries will be very light at Saratoga....what a joke. That ought to make it easy for handicappers to pick 4 horses in 5 horse fields. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

This was your chance to brag that you pressed the "ALL" button on your horizontal wager.

Why scratch the 5,6,8,& 9? Just because they were not given Lasix, they could still run, just w/o Lasix.

Who says that, and how would they know what hoesmen across the country are planning? Names?

Sounds like unsubstantiated hearsay to me.

I'd bet that there is a rule that if they are scheduled for Lasix and don't get it, then they can't run. I'd also bet it's likely that the owner or trainer would not want them to run without it.

any time they can't field an adequate field size of at least eight runners, there should be 2% per horse deduction in takeout.

this goes for unusual/heavy scratches

or when fields of 6 or 7 are presented as complete races.

The tracks want as much as they can get. The general public hasn't a clue about takeout, and doesn't care.
