Large swaths of states and the country (in terms of square miles) don't support anyone - people are what matter. As long as he doesn't use Trump as an example of how to "win over" those who didn't vote for him, he'll be fine. Also, are you as sure about McConnell winning as you are about Trump (assuming they're both on the ticket)?
