A better bet would be that horse making it start to finish without breaking down.

They actually listed the on-track handle and attendance. If those numbers are to be believed--the average attendee bet a little over $8....not just on this race--TOTAL for the entire day.

Unless (I hope) they include the casino attendance...which would make more sense.

they still did slightly over $1 million for the night, but about 10 years ago they were doing close to $3 million a night and ran more. they had a third of their races carded for the turf and they went off the turf last night, so that has to hurt handle.
