ALLDATA Black Box

Hey...

Any Black Box users still around?

I had this for years but never really did anything it....
I watched Ray's videos and did some fooling around with it...
At Belmont 6-15, BB came up with both big winners $48 & $33...
Anyone that would like to join up with me and discuss further ,
Please PM me...

I enjoyed using the Black Box but I stepped away from racing for a few years and stopped getting the data files. As a result, I couldn't do the testing required to make the BB work for me.

I have noticed that the forum Raybo set up is very quiet lately without his posts and I'd be interested in following any conversation that gets started here on PA. I'm afraid I don't have much to offer at the moment, mind you.

Thxs Kru for chiming in.....
But I'm looking for active users and their results...

Belmont , again , had a good day 6-16...
10.40.....6.00.....2.60.....11.20.....8.00.....13. 60.....31.40.....12.40

Ray limited this to a certain amount so if your still using it give me a PM and maybe we can team up.

More to report after the 14th, when we do another MRI and CT scans to see if the tumor is returning or cancer is detected anywhere else. This, of course is the "biggie" with this tumor type.

Thanks again for your prayers, well wishes, and moral support, it is really appreciated!!

Feeling the pain. I really miss Raybo. He was a top of the line guy.
Knowing what I know now, I wish I had bought into his software. I know from our conversations and the times I watched him work with it in live play it was/is a high quality program.

Question Hmmm...RS All Data Black Box

I'm having a hard time understanding why the RS All Data Black Box forum is virtually non-existent.

I never had the pleasure of communicating with Raybo when he was still among us but from everything I've read he sure seemed like a great handicapper/programmer and more importantly a classy gentleman. His passing was extremely unfortunate on many levels.

From everything I've read All Data is excellent handicapping software.

What I don't understand is why no one seems to be using this software anymore in spite of it's high quality.

I get that it's less appealing to use handicapping software without support or updates from the creator and without a vibrant forum...but it still seems odd to me given the high quality of the program.

Thoughts anyone?

Black Box was sold by Ray about 5 -6 years ago....
He kept it to a small amount of sales.....he didn't want to flood the market and reduce ROI's...

As for support...he made about 10 YouTube videos to help ..it is very thorough

I jump on it every so offend .....

His Alldata Program was my start into Excel & horse racing programming

alldata_j1_custom_printsheets_v5.zip

Found here - https://alldataexcel.weebly.com/alld...-download.html

I wrote a Visual Basic program (originally based on my earlier handifast stuff bit completely different now) to import the brisnet csv and compute an ability figure it then writes my figures out as a separate CSV file that I link to the spreadsheet using the data import function in excel. Then a few macros were added to place it into the PP section and modify the sheet.
