I would think their built-in "sonar" would steer them clear of such obstacles.

Sperm whales yes, Humpbacks no. Only whales with teeth use echolocation.

Interesting. Didn't know that. Porpoises have excellent sonar capabilities, and they have teeth, as well.

Believe it or not, porpoises are actually whales. And orcas are whales but also porpoises.

I saw a news report from a local ABC channel out of Jersey yesterday and they were saying things like "it could be from natural causes." This is the kind of terrible reporting we have these days. 10 whales have died prematurely in the same vicinity since December, obviously, it's not from natural causes. The media is a joke.

I'm surprised the cause hasn't been definitively concluded as global warming.
Then again, if it's the wind farms causing this, I suppose it could still be blame on global warming...lol

It has to be the million year old glaciers melting at Greenland raising the sea level a couple feet with fresh water from the past .....
