As a aside to the record yesterday, who holds the record for graded stakes won, feels like that has to be in range as well in the next few years?

Frankly, I've heard analysis by jockeys and it is usually pretty nauseating.

There’s a reason why so many ex-participants are hired as commentators.
In the case of riders, most in the peanut gallery couldn’t stay on a racehorse for a furlong even if they were tied on yet are overly critical. Mike just had a historical milestone and a snipe was unnecessary.

CJ, really, send me an infraction for saying I’d love to see Serling attempt to ride a racehorse? You’re ridiculous.

Nope, that isn't why. Nice deflection though.

I brought up two of the best in their fields and they didn't play the sport. That was my point. You don't have to be able to ride a horse to know a bad ride. You don't have to be a quarterback to know a bad decision by the QB.
If we relied on ex-jockeys, we'd rarely here about a bad ride.

Really? Tell us all why, CJ. I’ve only posted a couple posts recently.
This isn’t a deflection either. I responded to your “this is a dumb post” pst already. I’m just calling you out for giving me a stupid “demerit”.

No one said you do, but I guarantee if any of you actually attempted to ride a racehorse you’d get a new outlook on rides.
It sure as hell is harder to ride a racehorse than talk about it.

I'm giving him an asterisk since he does it so often in SoCal at 1-5 against 3 other horses. I trust Baffert's opinion!

I don't think anybody here that bets horses regularly doesn't understand how hard it is to ride a racehorse. Nobody is pretending they can do it. But it doesn't mean the best riders should be above critique.

Years ago, I remember reading on the TG board about how their data suggested Mike Smith lost more ground on average than a lot of the other top riders and was blowing a lot of big races.
I guess either he got better, ground loss is overrated, or he's riding Ferraris.

Not that big of an asterisk! Why does everyone think I'm an OU fan?
