Quick update before Saturday:

We have booked 4 tickets (yea!) and got dad his accessible seating with my mom so we can still enjoy the races together!

I will try to get as much pictures as I can but hoping the weather will be nice on Friday thru Sunday (looks to be at the moment)

Going to be an exciting trip cannot wait!!!!!

Any requests on pictures or anything you would like me to do while I am there please let me know by Friday night thanks

i have one suggestion in case you are traveling with baseball fans. Cooperstown, where the Baseball Hall of Fame is located, is roughly an hour away from Saratoga Springs. you might want to go there one morning or on a dark day of racing.

one more, if you need a great place for dinner, try the WISHING WELL. its located in a town next door to Saratoga called Gansevoort. there are probably plenty of newer places open now, but this place serves fresh corn on the cob and in-season tomatoes that are great along with the rest of the menu. chances are you will meet lots of people in the racing industry there on any given night, it's probably still the best place around.

i always have stories, but this one is classic.

I'm eating dinner at The Wishing Well the night before the Travers Stakes with The Greek, Richie O'Connell, Hollywood Herbie McCauley and his wife Debbie (i think). they are all dead drunk.

the next morning i asked the Greek who he likes in the Travers, he loves THUNDER RUMBLE. i come back, but you saw these guys the night before, he answers me, but the horse won't know how much the jockey drank the night before!

naturally, the horse wins, i don't have him and he pays $14 or $15 for win.

Ok sorry for the flood of pictures but I just wanted to show everyone my trip and how it turned out

Leaving the house en route to Saratoga Springs!

Stop at Denny's in Corfu NY which was an excellent location with excellent service by our server Francheska
2nd.jpg

I got the 4 app special in which you got to choose what you wanted so I got onion rings chicken strips wavy fries and Mozza sticks!
3rdmeal.jpg

Darth sticker on side of the car; I do NOT want to join the dark side just yet
4th.jpg

Arriving in Saratoga Springs with the entire street filled with Saratoga-themed flags which this one was advertising the Runhappy Travers Stakes

I stayed at the Holiday Inn which was very amazing with it being tailored to Saratoga and the town itself which you can tell by the doors being from the track plus the hotel offered editions of the Pink Sheet along with the Saratoga Special and finally the Captial OTB channel on your tv and in the lobby!
6thhotel.jpg

Picking up program and DRF from Stewarts Shop which was very conveniently located right across from the hotel
7th.jpg

Close up the same picture as above
8th.jpg

Like what I said above about the hotel is very tailored to Saratoga so here are some of the photos around the lobby

Our very first views of Saratoga pre-Saturday which I was in tears about for not just being here in that moment but for checking this off my bucket list of tracks to tour before I pass!
toganight .jpg

Outside the gates where there is the water-fountain ring of jockeys displaying the past year's stakes winners; I am standing next to Knicks Go who was the winner of the Whitney
11th.jpg

my mom standing on the Big Reds plaque on the ground while others are displayed on the ground near the gates

Inside Saratoga with my brother

Our seat location was Section K of the clubhouse with a great view of the track
15th.jpg

Railbirds
16th.jpg

Saratoga Live set which not 100% sure if we made it on during the broadcast (will have to look back)
17th.jpg

Time for lunch! There was a great pizza place near the walking ring and it was $10 for a small pizza which tasted fantastic by the way!
18th.jpg

Winning ticket and the only one to cash all-day but that did make my money back in that race alone
19th.jpg
