besides the fund raising, many (D)s don't want to be seen having voted for full term abortion as it may hinder reelection

Now that the SC has determined that the abortion issue will be decided by the individual states, doesn't that make codifying abortion via federal law mute?

If they try, they need to have at least a 5 day waiting period, background checks, mandatory training courses in birth control, and red flag provisions.

no, a federal law will take precedence over state law unless the state law gives people more rights. Of course it would end up in court as many states would argue abortion takes away rights of the fetus.

Not if the SC determines that issue of abortion belongs to the states. Which is my understanding of their ruling. I could be wrong, but I don't recall the SC stating they would have upheld a federal law on abortion.

Lindsey Graham is doing his best to keep the democrats in power.

"Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) on Tuesday introduced a bill that would ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy nationwide, the most prominent effort by Republicans to restrict the procedure since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June."
