I did catch another one talking about Jan 6th, a female in Lester Holt's wrap up as I only watched the first 3-4 minutes. If she wasn't flat out lying and the stuff that was going through her head was real, she does not belong in even a minor pressure job, let alone a high pressure one. Ashli Babbitt's killer was a lieutenant. How scary is that? I wouldn't send that group to break up a food fight in a middle school cafeteria.

Why is this even controversial?

1. Trump thought/still thinks there was illegal ballot harvesting, forged signatures, and possibly rigged machines that account for Biden getting 81 million votes.

2. Some people agree with him.

3. A few thousand people were there to protest what they believed was a rigged election. Trump supported them.

4. Some of them got riled up to the point they wanted to force their way into the building (possibly with some outside prompting)

5. Security was woefully inadequate

6. Trump didn't do enough to calm the situation down

7. Some stormed in and many others just followed passively. Police actually allowed many to enter.

8. It was not planned coup.

9. People that broke in and did damage should have been arrested. The passive followers that were allowed in by police and didn't do any damage should probably get a pass. They probably didn't even know they were doing anything wrong.

You know my feeling on this. It's probably similar to yours. With just a few exceptions I'm no fan of the republicans, but the democrats are so wildly corrupt, batshit crazy, incompetent, economically illiterate, morally reprehensible, and insidious, it's close to impossible for me vote for a single one of them.
