Are you a racist?
Obama people are saying that whites who won't vote for Obama are racists. How do you feel about that?

Skin Color Should Have Nothing To Do With It, But It does.

There are quite a few whites who are voting for Obama to prove that they are not racists, when in fact they really are racists, but it's not in to be a racist.
There are quite a few blacks who are voting for Obama because finally they have a chance to have a black man in the Oval office. I can't blame them for that. But in doing so they are being "racists."
Skin color should have nothing to do with your vote. You should vote on who will best represent you and your issues. Unfortunately, I haven't seen my candidate yet. I'm not voting for Obama simply because he repeats cliche empty mantras over and over. I haven't heard any substance, yet.

Obama's black?? I thought he was half white.
I am not voting for Obama because of his Socialist views. His skin color has nothing to do with my vote.
If anyone is a racist, he is. I see where he has finally pulled out his "race card" at a rally/dinner/benefit? with mostly black supporters. He is saying that the Reps. are going to try to use his name to "strike fear" into voters and the "did we mention he is black" line. He's playing the victim. Here's a man that is claiming to try to "unite" us all, but with that speech, he is doing nothing more than seperating us.

I've never met anyone in "real life" Hank who refers to me as a "fool."
rac·ism (r s z m)
n. 1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.
In your apparent understanding of the term, where am I in err? Please explain.

According to 2. above, a synonym for racism would be affirmative action.

Right. It's one form of racism designed to compensate for a more vile form of racism. You're exactly right.

Hank, GW was Gov. of Texas. That's a big job. Much bigger and more demanding than being a senator.

Racism is taught. It doesn't evolve de novo.
I have, what I would call in most other aspects, rational relatives who live in the South. From visiting them multiple times it is part of their culture.
