What is pace speed class handicapping?

Does anybody know anything about howard sartin's pace speed class handicapping? Seen someone selling a booklet on ebay. Just wondering if their is any important handicapping knowledge contained in this booklet. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

A hard fast rule from Sartin from day one :PACE/SPEED is class.

that is all you need to know and why he disregarded man made class levels

You know about Sartin - maybe you could actually answer his question in a cogent manner.

Ghostrider

Instead thinking of buying booklets from ebay, go here http://paceandcap.com/forums/

You will need to contact Ted Craven to gain access to the Sartin Methodology Library

That is the answer I learned and taught others for over 25 years....that is what is yelled from the rafters, impressed in all the Follow Ups, emboldened in his books, substantiated by his lectures, promoted in his videos......Cannot be much more explicit than that.

Doc using Class i believe.

Quote:
In the third race back at Santa Rosa, this horse earned the best raw Speed Rating in its last three races. This is a low class Fair Track and even though it was an Allowance Race, the horse finished 5 ¾ lengths behind the leader.

Quote:
However, beaten 5 ¾ lengths at a far lower class track should be enough to ignore that line. I used the Last line at FPX September 19, an oval with the highest class of any Fair Track.

Quote:
FPX is the HIGHEST CLASS of all the Fair Tracks.

Yes like all of your brethren there in 1980 land, things have moved on. Rotary phones, phonograph records, milk delivered to your door in bottles are no longer the standards

If you want to learn A B C's over and over and over and over with no progression, stick with that group. NOT an original idea promoted, investigated, suggested or attempted. IF IT AIN'T in them thar Folla Ups, it aint!

You may want to change your name to Don Quixote. Between gm10/bisket yesterday and 46 today, you might welcome the windmill.

One of the things new people to Sartin NEVER get is this man made class structure baloney.

IF a horse has shown that it can contend with the projected pace of the race TODAY, then you have to consider it a wagering possibility NO MATTER WHAT MAN MADE CLASS that pace pressure came from. Better yet if there are two examples of that contention at today's projected pace.

The pace is the class not the printed condition book
