Is There a Way.....

I have about a years PPs in PDF that I had downloaded. I would like to make a file of PPs for individual horses. I thought that I could copy and paste but evidently that can't be done with PDF Acrobat files. Is there any way I can record the PPs of individual horses

You can paste a snapshot of any portion of a pdf file onto a word document and you get the exact data in the exact format of the pdf file. Word accepts it as a picture, not individual data elements, so the data cannot be manipulated once you paste it, as far as I can tell.

In my version of the acrobat viewer, there's a little icon of a camera that you click on to commence marking the area to snapshot. Once the area is marked, a message box appears to tell you the data has been copied to the clipboard. Then I just paste the snapshot to an open Word document. Make sure the Word document has the appropriate margins and page orientation.

If you want to manipulate the data elements, this method won't be of much help.

That is exactly what I do, only I use Excel, so I have a tab for each trainer I am following and then a "misc" tab. Very worthwhile excersise.

I don't see a camera icon on Adobe Reader but it seems that I can send to clip board. I know this sounds stupid but how do I find the clip board?

Try this link. It is software that will convert pdf files to any microsoft office product. They have a trial version avail for 5 days. I use it at work and it how well it works depends upon the page layout format of the pdf page or what you want to extract.
