Listing my top 2 plays for Saturday. I am going to roll pick 3's (2X2X2=$8) for the card and play the 1st horse listed at $5 WP. (Picks Before Scratches)

RACE -1 The

off the layoff for Toner a 12% trainer move. Threw career best Bris figure at this distance over this course. Bullet works in tow since last seen at GP. At 8-1 the price is right.

RACE -2 The

Back in with friends after the Preakness debacle last out. Reunited with Ortiz who was aboard for this one's 99 Bris figure race at the Big A. 5-2 feels good here.

RACE -3 The

&

The

. Regressed slightly last out of the big win 2 back for Pletcher as the chalk. Trainer hits at 25% next out. Should relish the added distance of this affair. 7-2 on the line.

RACE -4 The

The

. Closer should get plenty of speed to shoot at in this group for Ward. Ran a solid 2nd last out going shorter in the Turf Sprint at CD. Will be flying late at 5-1 on the line.

RACE -5 The

. Hard to get past this one in here going the shorter 7F distance. Won't be any value here though. Smokin 3F workout over the track May31st. Catch if catch can.

RACE-6 The

Taking a stab to beat the chalk in here at 10-1 on the ML. Been working lights out in the morning for Leah since the break. Needs to find about 5 lengths improvement today...not outta it here.

Hard to get past the Palace here. Looks to get a great trip from the rail post today.

. Just missed in the Man O War last out running a solid 101 Bris figure. Adds Lasix today and a nice jock change to Gary Stevens to boot. 5-1 a good price here.

. I will be cheering for California Chrome but betting on Wicked Strong.

Lezcano ends up here riding for Clement after riding the

last out. Winner of last should get a good pace to run at here but must over come post. 4-1 on the ML.

RACE -13 The

. 2nd off the layoff for Pletcher here a 28% trainer move. 8-1 on the get out race.

after seeing CALIFORNIA CHROME this week, he seems to be quite a race horse. according to trainer Art Sherman, he put on weight. i fully expect a better race from him than his 2 prior triple crown races.

i think the horses that ran in the Kentucky Derby and skipped the Preakness will be at a disadvantage today. the trainer's that took that route underestimated the CHROME and Art Sherman. the horse has gotten better and it will be a very tall order to beat him having skipped the Preakness.

The Peter Pan Stakes looked like a pretty good race to me that TONALIST won. TONALIST is the only horse that i have a very small knock on, probably not a big enough knock to make it a cinch that he doesn't run a good race, but you have to find some value somewhere so i am going to dismiss that horse and use MATTERHORN instead to be somewhere underneath on a trifecta and superfecta ticket. i will use the horses that ran in the derby but skipped the preakness in the mix as well.

should CALIFORNIA CHROME odds drift up to even money i will bet him to win as well.

that's the way i see it, but i know there are plenty of ways for me to lose my bets here and i could be completely wrong, but everyone that i have spoke with this week are trying to beat CHROME, so i know betting on him can't be to far off.

I got back a while ago. I wouldn't mind losing if CC had won but it was not to be. I had the winner and one of my seconds came in third. But an exacta means first and second so I lost and I'll take it like a man.
