I'll go with Anzari and hope the price is somewhere near the 10-1 morning line. Prior to layoff, it's been competitive at the class level and has worked out 4 times in last 4 weeks, so it should be tuned up to run. Can't ask for much better in the trainer and jockey. So that's my selection - Anzari win and place.

80 views & only two opinions. Do people read these because they're lonely? I can't understand why these lurkers don't post.

I'm goin' w/ Slew Is King. He fits here. Mostly though, Mitchell burns me when I bet him & wins when I don't. Since I eliminated this one in my handicapping, he's a must use!!!

$100 to place.

How Cliche, I truly appreciate your efforts.

Contest Pick

My pick the 1 (Noble Masterpiece) coming off the claim. Has decent numbers my first try at this contest. Also would box exacta with the 7 (Gallant).

Austin Barber.

Wire to wire, pillar to post, slidin right in like butter on toast.
Took stakes horses to the stretch at Del Mar last year. Good speed jockey.
The other speed horse, Slew is King, was content to sit off the pace last time and probably won't make Austin Barber go any faster than he wants to go anyway.

From another forum-this morning

I'm gonna try Anzari(IRE). There are obvious knocks on this horse as he's one of the runners in here who doesn't win very often. He's had 4 works in the last 4 weeks. He should be pretty fit. From the owner/trainer who brought us Giacomo. Would've liked to have seen a brilliant 7f move on the tab ala the derby winner, or Stanley Park but the 1:11 & 2 move might be a sign he's waking up. High equibase figure was off the bench & at the distance. Reaching a bit, but worth a shot. Need to start picking winners again if I wanna contend. After picking 3 in a row, I've picked 8 consecutive losers.

Anzari to win.
