I have it on good authority that Senator Lindsey Graham is more than willing to bend over in order to rectify this situation.

Oh Feinstein screwed this horribly... she's catching a ton of flack. Schumer, Grassley, and most of the others need to go.
McConnell is pretty disgusting but also very shrewd... I wonder if he and Harry Reid were just separated at birth.
HOT TAKE:
McConnell knows he doesn't have the votes for Kavanaugh at this point. That's why he's doing his absolute best to force the vote. Nobody likes Kavanaugh at this point but Trump and his base...
Meanwhile the adults in the room like McConnell realize if they can quickly force a vote one of two things happen...
1) Kavanaugh might survive in which case the Republicans likely sacrifice the Senate but get the nomination... not ideal but a win.
2) Kavanaugh loses his vote... probably the better option as they can be forced to name someone else and ram them through while also having a better chance of keeping the Senate.
1 isn't bad and 2 is better but leadership doesn't care and wants to move past this now...

You also notice how Kavanaugh went from being a Virgin Choirboy to casual-to-sometimes-heavy beer drinker who "wasn't perfect" in the span of 48 hours?
I honestly feel bad for the guy but he can end this whenever he wants...

I said he was not going to be confirmed over a week ago, and Mitch definitely does not have the votes now.
3 accusers. Buh bye Brett.

So far, we have not even heard any details, let alone evidence that he did anything. You want we should just forget the courts now and act like RUSSIA?

The problem is...
And the people here simply can't/won't see it...
Is there comes a point where you lose any and all momentum. The initiative has been taken away from you and you are completely on the defensive now and just reacting instead of acting.
There is a very easy way to take back the initiative... put of the opposition back on defense... but I digress...

Republicans can't, won't, or don't know how to play that game.

These Republicans can't...
They think a Black Swan event like Donald Trump's election is a normal occurrence and not just some crazy weird celestial alignment...
Brett Kavanaugh is not Donald Trump. This is a nightmare at this point for Republican lawmakers.
And the really crazy thing is the solution nets them an equally, in fact net, positive outcome... but they can't take that option... they aren't allowed to.
Not a single person on this board picked Brett Kavanaugh as their top pick for the justice spot... but now they're willing to risk the Supreme Court majority over him... follow that logic.
