In a 100 years, or a 1000 years, or 10,000 years the glaciers will return, they always do. Then what? They will melt again like they have done for billions of years. The cycle won't ever end.

This is to assume (and you know what that does) that ALL aspects of any PREVIOUS climate changes were the same....THEY ARE NOT...NOT by a long way.
The population today, and its inherent stresses on the carrying capacity of the planet, is being overwhelmed and poisoned as well.

The arrogance of mankind thinking it can control nature. Nature will find a way.

Look, it is good that the Earth is warming up.
W are likely to get hit by a giant asteroid, have a super volcano goof, or even bring on a nuclear winter and the whole place will cool off like 1818. IT is a good idea to stock up on heat for that so that it will not rigger anew ice age.
Nature loves balance,
Leave it alone and it will balance out.
btw, 46, how are you coming with getting China and INdia on board to save the planet?

Since my initial learning of carrying capacity as an undergrad, I knew then, long ago, that people don't change and this planet is ultimately doomed....That notion alone has been borne out even faster than I once thought.
I feel very sorry for the young of today.

It is finding a way in an ENCLOSED environment. The stresses of overpopulation are ruining jet streams, life cycles of plants and animal that took thousands of years to develop, the continue loss of genetic diversity, the long term slow degradation of toxins that are harmful, etc etc.
I am happy to be closer to the end that the beginning......
If nature finds a way, WE are not going to be part of that long term plan much like the larger reptile only we will have caused our own demise.

Simply EVERY population studied in history showed exactly the same thing: in an enclosed environment, EVERY population, ever studied, once it moved into exponential growth, so befouled their environment that it lead to that population's demise and crash.
Humans are no different

The planet is fine! If you don't think so, I encourage you to watch this.

just because the humans will crash, does not mean the world will crash ... or has that happened every time studied?
