Market back up, Kim backing down.
where is the coverage by the alt. media who were all over the 1 day market fall and who were quoting everyone and their brother that standing up to to Kim was foolish???
I guess after 8 years of that sniveling yellow-belied coward Obama-pajama Boy woosified them.
Hmmm, who else mocked the commies and made them thing he was crazy enough to attack them?
Could it be.......REAGAN?
America - getting great again - recovering from swine flue for 8 years.

North Korea is backing down from what? Did anyone actually believe they would or even could attack Guam?
You guys are too much... this is just like Kennedy followers during the Cuban Missile Crises. Except then something actually was accomplished.

China has Kim on a short leash, and has made it clear lately that he is in deep kimchi if he starts anything. They said that if Kim initiates any hostile action, he is on his own.
On Monday, China implemented new UN sanctions on North Korea, announcing that all imports of coal, iron ore, lead concentrates and ore, lead and seafood from North Korea would be banned.
That same day, North Korea backed off on its previously announced Guam missile test.

Apparently some outlets believed it. That's all we heard on the news...from the left politicians and the right. How Donald needed to tone it down. How a war would be devastating....
Hell even the south Korean president said that trump needs their approval for a pre-emptive strike.
China said that thjey would only stay out of it if NK acted first....
So yeah, a lot of people believed this was headed into no mans land.....
Some of you just refuse to give trump credit for anything....

He survived because Khrushchev.
The Soviets at the time were actually surprised at how belligerent the United States was about the stationing of missiles in Cuba. We had placed them in Turkey so they honestly thought it was simply a force match which would be reasonable action to maintain parity and deterrence. The United States' reaction was completely over the top and after repeated overtures by the USSR the conflict was finally able to de-escalate thanks to Khrushchev.

The passing of the UN security council on the 5th was already a large stepping stone passing 15-0 with large input from both Russia and China. This is what sparked the Regime's latest smack talk. One the President was all to foolishly willing to participate in.

You also have Obama drawing a red-line in Syria while getting pushed around by Putin during Russia's "coming out party." Most recently now you have a President who is willing to draw red-lines and engage a belligerent regime in foolish unproductive trash talk that only worsens a situation. (Seriously the guy claimed he shot 18 during a round of golf... you're going to argue with that guy?)
Lets look at the international response;
1) China to NK: "Shut your mouth... enjoy these sanctions too." China to the US: "Tread lightly."
2) Japan, SK, NZ, and Australia to US: "Ummm... how about no."
Then we have actual facts from the Administration.
1) Our main policy objective here is to avoid conflict. (Tillerson qoutes)
2) We are in no position to actually fight this war. (Mattis quotes) Currently we only have one operational Carrier Battle Group in all of the Pacific ( USS Ronald Reagan). We used 5 during the Iraq war. The Vinson is working up her new Air Wings in San Diego. Roosevelt is conducting training off of California and Stennis just completed sea trials after her latest rehab and is sitting in port in Washington.
So no... needlessly scaring the public. Accomplishing nothing but feeding his ego. And uselessly escalating a situation is not something I would consider giving him credit for.

Not only were we constantly told he might obliterate Guam (if only by accident), we are being told he's going to kill almost everyone in South Korea with all that artillery (if not outright NUKES) he's got lined up...never mind we could obliterate that artillery in a matter of minutes if we wanted to, although you keep telling me that's not possible...
I don't think this immediate showdown is over...not by any means...but again, if this is resolved without anything being fired, we all know Trump gets no credit, as can be seen right now, by your own words.
What a shocker...

It's not possible PA. But then again what's possible doesn't compute with folks on here. I've posted resources and facts. You talk hyperbole. Mattis is on record saying it would be a complete bloodbath but hey what does he know...
Where does Trump fit into the credit here? He's done nothing productive. He may at a later date completely shock everyone but so far? No.
His own cabinet disagrees with him!

pretty much every powerful entity, ever, has figured out how to use enemies
the line between natural occurring enemies, and created enemies can become blurry

More launches in addition to what appeared to be a few failures a couple of days ago.

This was Chinas way of expressing their disapproval with the sanction's, no way
Kim did this on his own. the ball is still in Asia. PDJT still owns leverage and it will only get stronger.

China already implemented the sanctions from their end. If they disapproved, they would have said so.

Exactly right, they're disapproving via NK. Counties aren't used to dealing with ying and yang.

Bingo. North Korea is simply a puppet of China, and is now being used to gauge the will of the West from preventing the spread of communism. The response to tonight's missile launch over Japan will most likely be bluster and talk, and maybe some weak sanctions, but of course will reflect the continued decline of the American Empire. It won't be long until there's one Korea (answering to Beijing), Taiwan will rejoin Red China, and Japan and China will probably have a shooting war over resources in the South China Sea - and the U.S. won't be doing much about it.
Thinking that politicians are seriously interested in a long-term solution is rather humorous as well. There was good money to be made in the Defense industry for decades propping up the South Koreans, but the Federal budget is getting tighter every year, and South Korea will be one of the first casualties - we simply can't afford to protect a piece of rock which has less use to us than other areas in the world = say, the oil fields in the Middle East.
It's also a safe bet there will human casualties along the way, as individual life in the East doesn't carry the same level of "holiness" and value as in the West. China has many internal problems like the U.S., and war is a great distraction.

China unilaterally placed sanctions on NK. They also supported the U.N. Security Council resolution calling for sanctions.
This post makes no sense.
