Please be advised of this 2014 rule -
5. Should any of the P4 races on a given day be cancelled due to inclement weather, that contest day will be considered washed out and no one will receive any winning credits to their score. Should a race be cancelled for any other reason, the Contest Management team will review and make the appropriate ruling on how/if to score.

Aqueduct cancelled Race 9 because a tractor broke down on the back stretch and
State law prevents races from being run after sunset, which today was 4:43pm, per @DRFGrening on twitter

Well.....here's my thoughts anyways. If anyone had the the first 3 races in the Last pik 4, it should be a wash for that days card. No payouts. If no one had the first 3 in the Pik 4 then the early pik 4 should be payed out. It would have made no difference if it was run.

The 'Contest Management' ruling on this is pretty simple: The Official DRF/Equibase and NYRA Result Chart shows the Late Pick 4 result as 4-7-9 // 1 // 6 // ALL. The cancellation of Race 9 was not due to weather, so we have no reason to cancel the entire Pick 4 Contest wager. All race 9 entrants were declared as 'winner' for all relevant horizontal bets.
So, we'll do the same thing! Anyone with 4-7-9 // 1 // 6 selections in races 6-7-8 hold wining Pick 4 tickets for the purposes of our Contest. The $2 Late Pick 4 paid $367.
For the record, I did not play yesterday and have no contest-related investment in this result.
Happy Cashing! See you all next week, when the new tractor will have shipped in from (somewhere).
Ted

Who knew that only one day after this post, this rule would be needed.

Memo to self.. or word to the wise should be sufficient..
At Aqueduct... you have to use the newbies in town, no matter what Eric Donovan sets the M/L at.
EXAMPLE:
Aqu 1/19/2014 Race 6
