That is an excellent quality video for 50 years old. All the ones I have found for Secretariat's Belmont are poor quality.

Nice quality indeed. I didn't realize it was 50 years. Time just keeps going by.

Chic Anderson's announcing never gets old to me. I loved the way he called a race.

Chic died a month after I turned 18, he was one of the all time greats, gone way too soon. I started watching horse racing because of my grandmother's love of Secretariat.

I like that tie-in. And I agree, Chic left too soon. I was a young teen when the Belmont with Secretariat occured. My father (RIP) made me sit down with him and watch the Belmont on our 19" Zenith color TV. I was not really that interested until he said to me, "Billy, you need to watch this race. It very well could be history being made." I owe him for corraling me into watching, otherwise, I would have been out playing baseball with my friends.
