An especially difficult day for anyone making selections last night or this morning.
Here in Manhattan, it started raining about an hour ago; dirt surface might very well be affected, races moved off the grass, scratches & changes throughout the day.

Honestly, wouldn't picking numbers out of a hat for each race have produced the same or better results?? I know nobody wants to admit it, but can't a dart board get you a minus 48-60% return??

Remember Tucker6..All picks are made before scratches and track conditions are known..It's only been 7 days..I'm sure we'll pick it up...You want to join in..Don't hesitate..It's a lot harder then it looks. Especially when your in a losing streak..I'll take a 15-18% win clip picking every race..I just need a few payoffs to take the pressure off..
Pace said 500 races..So that means we are only about 1/10th into this contest..Long way to go..Sit back, relax and watch the positive ROI come and some point and time, hopefully..

Tucker,
Didn't Light claim that TLG was a slow starter at Saratoga too?
If you bother to look closer at the results, you will see a bunch of times TLG has finished second (by noses and necks), often at big prices...those will turn into winners eventually...

I certainly mean NO disrespect to either of you. It is hard to pick them well. I hope you guys both bounce back and beat the bank. However, I'd be well behind the dead guy in the corner, so I already know I'm beaten. I'm just saying there are two contests here whether it is acknowledged or not. One is between you and TLG. The other is between the handicappers and lady luck. You and TLG represent the handicappers. The dart board represents luck. I'm willing to bet that you guys win against the dart board, but you have to admit that many people consider handicapping to be akin to a crap shoot given all the variables. Since you're doing the contest anyway, let's prove the hypothesis. That's all I'm getting at. Good luck the rest of the way.

Pace,
I have noted the close misses. One was at 48-1 I believe. That would eat me alive.

Being a former public handicapper myself (albeit at a smaller circuit). I appreciate anyone who posts their picks and stands behind them. It is not an easy gig and when your picks are not firing the whole world thinks you're a buffoon. But on those glorious streaks of winners you are king for day.
Good Luck
