"It is simply not fathomable that a Constitution that grants Congress
the power to remove a President for reasons including criminal behavior
would deny Congress the power to investigate him for unlawful conduct
— past or present — even without formally opening an impeachment inquiry
,"
U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta wrote in a lengthy opinion Monday afternoon.

I never really cared about the President's IRS filings. Just figured he's another rich guy dodging the system tax wise. But the fact the President will do nearly anything not to reveal his IRS filings makes me wonder how bad it really is and now i wanna see.

This fight was a easily predictable L for Trump and he doesn't really have any recourse now.

I'm curious though I don't think I'll be particular surprised at what is in them.

it is only a matter of time

until the country sees how messed up the tax code is ... how can Trump's net worth explode exponentially while he legally shows net losses on their taxes?

Doubt it... unlikely to get that far.

The firm has to comply with the court order or be fined. The Appeals Court is the next step and guess who that goes to?

Rhymes with Gerrick Marland.

Because every day the accounting firm doesn't comply with the Court Order they will be subjected to fines. Regardless of the status of the appeal.

This fight is basically over... as it should be... the arguments of the WH were awful and the law isn't vague about this subject.

If Congress wants your taxes... they can get them.

Personal politics and wishes aside, Joe Biden's likability should terrify Trump.
